Beeper iOS Settings: What's included?

Your Beeper iOS app's settings are accessible by clicking on the three-sheet icon on the top left corner of your screen. From there, click on ‘Settings’ at the bottom of the page, and it should take you here:

1) Preferences

Under preference, users can manage their app experience. From how your chats are presented in the Inbox to what to do with the swipe gestures, it's all customizable.

Appearance

Users can choose between a minimal or a more detailed Inbox experience.

With Minimal enabled, you’ll just see who the chat is from and whether it’s unread. If you turn on Count instead, you’ll also see how many unread messages there are, plus which chat network the message came from.

Inbox Swipe Actions

Aside from the menu that you see when you long press on a chat in your inbox list, users can also swipe left and right on chats in the inbox to perform quick actions. You can set up which action you want to Swipe Left or Swipe Right by going to this section in Settings and selecting from the following options: Mark read/unread, Archive/unarchive, Mute/unmute.

Media

Here, you can set the max video size that’ll download automatically.

2) Network Connections

Beeper iOS now allows users to manage chat networks instead of having to log in to Beeper's desktop and manage them from there. For more information, please visit this page: Beeper iOS - Getting Started Guide

3) Storage

The Storage setting lets you check how much space Beeper is using on your device. You’ll see a pie chart showing data categories like Images, Videos, Audio, and Other, along with totals. It also shows how much space is taken up by attachments, avatars, and thumbnails. If you need to free up space on your iPhone, you can easily clear the media cache right from here.

4) Help

The Help option in Settings connects you to an AI-powered chatbot that can answer most questions and help troubleshoot common issues with Beeper. It pulls info directly from help.beeper.com, so it’s always up to date. We strongly encourage using this self-support tool first—it’s the fastest way to get help without waiting, and it’s available 24/7.

5) Report a Problem

Need to submit a bug report, feedback, or suggestion? Just click ‘Report a Problem’ from your Settings page, add your description and any applicable screenshot, then submit.

For more information, please visit this page: How do I report a problem?

6) View Changelog

The View Changelog option lets you see what’s new in the latest Beeper updates, as well as changes from past versions. It’s a quick way to check what’s been improved, added, or fixed—so you can stay up to date with what’s evolving in the app.

7) Logout

If you want to log out of your Beeper app, go to Settings > Logout. This signs you out and ensures your messages are not pulled into Beeper iOS until you log in again. You will need to confirm that you would like to log out through the menu that pops up to successfully log out.

8) App version

If you'd like to know the current version of your Beeper app, you can find it listed right underneath the ‘Logout’ button in settings.
