By disabling the native app notifications, you can ensure that you will only receive notifications through Beeper, eliminating the risk of receiving multiple notifications for the same message.

Android:

• WhatsApp: Go to Android Settings → Apps → See all apps → WhatsApp → Notifications  → Chats → Disable the first option labelled  “All WhatsApp notifications”. (Note: If you leave Other → Call notifications enabled, you'll still receive calls and video call notifications.)
• Telegram: Go to Android Settings → Apps → Telegram → Notifications  → Disable the following settings:
  • All “Groups” notifications
  • All “Other” notifications
  • All “Private Chats” notifications
  • To avoid missing call notifications, DO NOT disable “Allow full screen notifications”
• Signal: Go to Android Settings → Apps → Signal → Notifications → Disable the following settings:
  • Chats → All “Chat” notifications
  • To avoid missing call notifications, DO NOT disable Others → “Calls”
• Google Messages: Go to Android Settings → Apps → Messages → Notifications  → Disable the following:
  • All ‘Default settings’ notifications → "Incoming messages"
  • All ‘Messages for web’ notifications 

iOS:

• WhatsApp: iOS Settings → Notifications → WhatsApp → Disable “Show Notifications”. (Note: You'll still receive calls and video call notifications.)
• Telegram: Telegram native app Settings → Notifications and Sounds → Disable the following:
  • Private Chats
  • Group Chats
  • Channels 
  • Reactions
• Signal: iOS Settings → Notifications → Signal → Disable “Allow Notifications”. (Note: You'll still receive calls and video call notifications.)
