Note To Self - What is it? How do I find it?
The "Note to Self" chat in Beeper allows you to send encrypted private notes to yourself. These notes can be used to keep track of important information, such as login credentials or reminders, in a secure and convenient manner.
The Note to Self Room is represented by a room that looks like the following image:

If you do not have this chat, or accidentally removed it, do not panic! You can always remake it. Here's how to do it:
Note: As of the writing of this article, this chat can only be made from the Beeper desktop app.
- Open your search (or press Mac - CMD+K or Windows Ctrl+K) and type Create New Beeper Chat
- In the text field that opens in this prompt, type your complete username. For example, if your username is beeper, then your full username is @beeper:beeper.com
- You should see that your username is the only result that is available. Select it.
- You'll see a brand new chat will be created and called Empty Room. This is expected. Let's customize it now!
- We've included the image we use on our Note to Self here for simplicity.
- Select the name of the room at the top of the chat.
- In the Room Name, change this to whatever you want to name this room.
- From the profile picture, select the pencil icon to upload the image you would like this room to have.
At the end, validate that your security settings look like this:

That's it! You've now made your own personal room. You can also make any amount of them you want!
