How It Works
From now on, Beeper uses a simple yet secure two-step process for logging in. Here's how you can access Beeper in the new era of password-less login:
1. Email Identification: To get started, all you need is your email address. You'll be asked to enter it into the login field.
2. Secure Code Authentication: Once you've entered your email, a secure 6-digit code will be generated and sent directly to your email address. Simply check your email, retrieve the code, and enter it on the Beeper login screen to gain access to your account.
That's it! Two simple steps to a password-less future with Beeper. This simple method reduces the risk of password breaches while providing you with an effortless sign-in experience.
What About My Old Password?
Existing users might wonder, "What happens to my old password?" No worries! Your old password will simply become less relevant with time. That being said, as long as you have access to your email, you'll always have access to Beeper.
When You Need a Password
We understand there might be moments when you'd prefer using a password – for example, when you want to remove authenticated devices from your Beeper Account. We have got you covered!
If you ever need a password, simply send us a message in the Beeper Help Chat. Our support team will provide you with a temporary password that you can use to log into your account.
To reset this temporary password, open your Beeper Desktop Client and navigate to the Gears Menu. From there, go to Settings and then select the General tab. Here, you can reset your password and continue your secure Beeper journey.
