Beeper iOS: Start a New Chat
How to start a new chat:
- To start a new chat on iOS, simply click on the compose icon on the top right corner of your screen.
- From there, it will take you to the compose page where you can enter the name or number of the user you'd like to send a message to. Simply select their name and tap on the specific chat network you want to reach them in.
Important things to note:
- Starting a new chat is supported for the following networks only: Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal, Google Messages, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, LinkedIn, Slack, and X (formerly Twitter). For more information, please visit this page: How Do I Start A New Chat?
- You can only start a new chat with a user using the chat networks that their number is registered with. If a user does not have a WhatsApp account, it will not appear as an option in the compose page after selecting their name.
- If you're having trouble launching the composer, please check your iOS Settings → Beeper → Contacts and ensure that access is enabled.
