How do I add a chat network account in Beeper?
Beeper Desktop:
To add a new chat network, follow these steps:
- Click on the + icon at the bottom left corner of the screen and it would take you to Settings > Accounts (you can also navigate manually to this section)
- Select the + icon on the top right of the screen OR scroll down the bottom and select ‘Add an account’
- Select ‘Connect’ next to the chat network that you want to connect an account for and follow the prompt.
Beeper iOS:
To add a new chat network on Beeper iOS, follow these steps:
- Click on the icon on the top left of your screen to be taken to the sidebar
- From there, select ‘Add an account' which should take you to the Accounts settings page
- Click ‘Add an account’ and select ‘Connect’ right beside the chat network you want to connect and follow the prompt.
Beeper Android:
To add a new chat network, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings > Chat Accounts
- Select ‘Add Account’
- Select ‘Connect’ right beside the chat network you want to connect and follow the prompt.

Important Notes
- Categories: Remember that chat networks are listed under two categories: On-Device Accounts and Cloud Accounts. To understand the difference, please check out this page.
- Account limit: There is a limit of one account per chat network when connecting cloud accounts. Depending on your plan you should be able to see the option to add more accounts for the same chat network under the ‘On-Device’ option.
- Supported chat networks: At the moment, Beeper supports connecting WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Discord, Google Messages, Slack, Twitter DMs, Google Chat, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger accounts.
- Not supported: Adding apps that are part of the Fediverse like Mastodon, Pleroma, and Pixelfed, is not supported in Beeper at this time.
