Chat Themes on Beeper Desktop

Chat Themes let you change the colors and backgrounds of your chats on Beeper Desktop. You can set a default look for all of Beeper, or give individual conversations their own style.

Want a quieter background while you work, but a splash of color for the group planning your next trip? You can choose chat by chat, without changing the look of everything else.

What you can customize

• Colors: change the color of your chats, including message bubbles.
• Backgrounds: pick a solid color or an image background.
• Default look: set one theme that applies across Beeper.
• Per-chat themes: give a single conversation its own style without affecting your other chats.

Set a default theme for all chats

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Appearance → Chat Appearance.
3. Choose the colors and background you want as your default.

Customize a single chat

1. Open the chat you want to change.
2. Click the chat's header to open Chat Info.
3. Select Edit in the top-right corner.
4. Choose Chat Theme and pick the look for that conversation.

FAQs

1. Does a per-chat theme change my other chats?
   No. A theme set from Chat Info applies only to that conversation. Your other chats keep your default look.
    
2. I don't see Chat Appearance in Settings
   Make sure Beeper Desktop is updated to the latest version, then restart the app.
