What Send Later Does

Send Later lets you write a message now and choose exactly when it gets sent. Whether you’re working across time zones, avoiding late-night messages, or planning follow-ups in advance, this feature helps you stay organized and in control; no need to remember or interrupt your flow. Just schedule it, and Beeper will send it for you.

How to Use It (By Platform)

On Desktop

1. If this is a feature you would use a lot, go to Gear (icon) → Appearance → Composer, and make Send Later one of your buttons.
2. Once on the chat, type the message you want to schedule. Instead of sending the message, press the Send Later icon, it's a timer icon.
3. You can either type when you want the message delivered using natural language or using a time and date format.
4. Once you see the schedule is complete, press Send. You will see the message in the chat view as a placeholder.

What if you change your mind?

• If, for some reason, you change your mind or need to edit the schedule, follow these steps:
  • Press Edit next to the Send Later indicator in the chat view.
  • From there you can:
    • Reschedule
    • Delete Without Sending
• You can also Send Message Now, if that's what you're looking for.
• If you're trying to edit the actual message, just press Delete Without Sending, compose a new message, and set a new schedule.

On Android

1. Type the message you want to schedule.
2. Long-press the Send button. 
3. Select the date for the scheduled message and press Next
4. Select the time for the scheduled message and press Select time
5. Once you see the schedule is complete, press Send. You will see the message in the chat view as a placeholder.
6. You will see the message in the chat view as a placeholder.

What if you change your mind?

• If, for some reason, you change your mind follow these steps:
  • Long-press the scheduled message.
  • From there you can:
    • Send now
    • Cancel Scheduling
• If you're trying to edit the actual message, just press Delete Without Sending, compose a new message, and set a new schedule.

On iOS

1. Type the message you want to schedule.
2. Press the + button. 
3. Select the Schedule icon next to the Send button
4. Select the time for the scheduled message and press Select time
5. Once you see the schedule is complete, press Send. You will see the message in the chat view as a placeholder.
6. You will see the message in the chat view as a placeholder.

• Once the schedule is set , you can edit, reschedule, or send the message now.

• Work smarter, not harder – Write messages when it’s convenient for you, and schedule them to send at the right time.
• Clear your mind – Get thoughts out of your head without worrying about sending them too early (or too late).
• Respect time zones – Perfect for working with teammates or friends in different parts of the world.
• Avoid off-hours pings – Schedule messages to go out during work hours so you’re not disturbing anyone late at night or early in the morning.
• Stay ahead on tasks – Draft and queue reminders, check-ins, or follow-ups in advance so you don’t forget later.
• More focused workflow – Schedule non-urgent messages and keep your focus on the task at hand.
• Reduce pressure – No need to send things immediately, set it and forget it, and Beeper will take care of the timing.

Having Issues?

If Send Later is not working as expected, please double-check that you are on +Beeper Plus or ++Beeper Plus Plus.
