    Beeper Android: How to customize your notification sounds

     

    You can do these sound customizations with Beeper Android:

    • You can assign Beeper Android the notification sound of your choosing by going to Android Settings > Apps > Beeper > Notifications > Message Notifications > Sound > Select your preferred sound
       

    Customize app sound per device manufacturer:

    Google Pixel: Android Settings → Apps → Beeper → Notifications → Message Notifications → Sound
    OnePlus: Settings → Apps → App management → Beeper → Message notifications → Ringtone
    Samsung (OneUI 6.1): Open Settings → Notifications menu. → Advanced Settings menu. →  Turn on “Manage notification categories for each app".

    • Samsung (Continued) - Once you have enabled “Manage notification categories for each app”. → Settings → Apps → Beeper → Notifications → Notification Categories → Message Notifications → Sound → Change from the “App provided sound”. 
     
    • You can assign a customized sound for specific chats.
      1.  Open Android Settings
      2. Notifications
      3. Conversations
      4. Select the conversation you want to change the notification sound for
        1. Please note that It will only show up in the conversation section once you select the chat as a bubble.
      5. Sound
      6. Choose the sound of your choice
    • You can Mute all your incoming notifications and yet receive visual notifications.
      • Steps:
        1. Long-press the chats in question and select Mute
        2. If you want all chats muted, go to Android Settings → Notifications → App notifications → Messages Notifications → and switch setting to Silent.
    • You can in-app Mute Sounds (Sent messages, Reactions, etc.)
      • Steps:
        • Beeper Android → Gear → Preferences → Sounds → Mute sound effects → Switch the toggle to reflect the desired behavior.
