What does the x over my chat network mean?

You might notice a red x over a chat network, accompanied by either a red banner (mobile) or a pop-up (desktop) with more information. 


This is what that pop-up and red x could look like on the desktop client:

Likewise, this is what it could look like on our mobile apps:


The pop-ups indicate a disconnection from the corresponding client. You might notice that you fail to receive or send messages during those times. The pop-up will usually automatically disappear if it is a temporary disconnection. 

In certain instances, this might require manual intervention (if you changed your password, your token has expired, etc.). You must check your chat network in the Beeper Desktop Client in those instances.
